Drunk Miners

At Dave’s house this morning relaxing and was later convinced that I needed to take a motorcycle ride with him and neighbor John.  I suit up, despite some of the ridicule from the two Harley riders in jeans and tee shirts.  It turned out to be a wonderful day because it included ice cream.  My first introduction was a great road that wound along the Shenandoah River.  It reminded me a of tunnel dug through the deciduous forest by drunk miners because it twisted and turned without a straight away, laying an asphalt path at the bottom of the tunnel.  When we came out of the tunnel we rode through the countryside of large estates.  For the most part, we stayed off the major thoroughfares, it was an exception day of riding.  Moreover, it was the pit stop at Pack’s ice cream stand for a medium ice cream that really made the day.  The medium ice cream cone challenged the laws of physics, the cone was so top heavy with ice cream it was shocking that it could remain upright.  We ended the day with a pool party with friends and family.  All together a wonderful day.

I pretty much knew you could be plied with scotch and cigars but I have come to find out through your log that you can be had with ice cream. I plan to use that on you.

I offered to play a round of golf matt, but you response was you were afraid you might hurt yourself swinging a golf club, “must be full contact golf out west”.. , or theres no ice cream on the golf course, either or, we rode instead…
