Pre-Preparations

My last official appearance in uniform is complete.  Just endured a quick round-trip flight to DC from Seattle and back in less than 24 hours.  This little distraction was a little tidying up with National Geographic for my my role in the upcoming show, “Continent 7: Antarctica” or so they tell is the working title to air sometime in the next decade, or this winter.  Finished Jupiter’s Travels, so I’m game back in the Seattle area couch surfing, riding John and April Lalanne’s leather sofa wave until Friday, and then I’ll move up North to catch hospitality in Marysville.  Being temporarily homeless is a bit disconcerting, but the trip is in sight.  I have to complete some maintenance on Trafalgar, pack up my life in a U-Haul from storage closet downtown, and then make the trek to Bend.  I plan on depositing my life on the floor, scatter it about to see it all, and finally select just the right amount of shit to pack on my 3 month to 3 year adventure.

Good description of life on the road. With some embellishment, I might add!
