Day 2, Somewhere in Idaho and Interstate Mind Numb-er

6 July.  Crawled out of my Super 8 bed about 0630, showered and dried myself off with the gauze this exclusive motel chain callsa towel.  I downed a protein bar breakfast and was on the road by 0700.  I got on I-84 and saw the speed limit was 80 mph; that’s more than I enjoy, but it was going to allow me to tick-off the miles.  The only thing worthwhile to mention was this gray image that followed me on this high-speed tarmac like a faithful dog.  In Brokeback Mountain-Home, ID I turned off to get some sanity back.  I rode out Route 20 again, via Carey, Craters of the Moon National Monument, Arco, and then a left on RT 33. I intercepted I-15 North and put the cruise control on 90 (about 86mph according to Tom the faithful GPS), where the fun of motorcycling is as elusive asa Downton Abbey sponsored NASCAR team.   After the grueling, high-speed transit, I arrived in Butte at 1400, 2:00pm.  Ike and Jeff who were traveling from Wallace, ID moseyed on down to Butte, expecting me around 5 or 6 pm.  So I set up my chair and relaxed with a cigar and scotch awaiting my companions rendezvous.DSCF0851
